Racist attack on Indian youth in Australia, beaten up after being called “F*** off Indian”

Last week, an Indian student was brutally attacked and racially abused by some unidentified people in Adelaide city of South Australia. The incident happened when a youth named Charanpreet Singh went to see the city light display in the car with his wife.

What happened?

The incident took place near Kintore Avenue around 9:22 pm on Saturday night. Charanpreet Singh said that he was parking his car when a group surrounded him.

He said, “They directly said – ‘Fuck off Indian’ and then started beating me. I was trying to escape, but they beat me till I fainted.”

The video of the incident has surfaced on social media, in which five people were seen hitting the youth with iron-like weapons.

After the assault, they fled in their car

  • Charanpreet suffered a head injury and fractures in several facial bones. He was admitted to Royal Adelaide Hospital.
